Victorian Cut Bricks:
There are several conservatory designs that
are constructed without 90 degree corners, Victorians (3 and 5section),
Sun Lounges with facets, “P” Shapes and many bespoke
designs.
Modern conservatory roof and window systems can easily accommodate
the various angles within a conservatory base:
The roof systems have specially designed roof rafters and eaves
beam connectors. The gutter systems have specially made angled gutter
connectors. The window systems have variable angled bay assembly
kits.
But what about the brickwork???
We have cut and bonded bricks manufactured for the external angles
of each conservatory. The bricks are cut to the relevant size and
then bonded with a poxi-resin. Obviously we use the same brick type
as the external face of the conservatory wall. If there is a damp
course in a different finish we have cut and bonded bricks made
to match.
We have these bricks specially made for each conservatory with any
type of facet, including Victorian (3 & 5 facet), hipped sun
lounges, P-shapes and bespoke designs.
An alternative feature is to use cut and bonded blue bricks on the
corner facets in contrast to the external face brick of the conservatory.
The alternative way of creating these angles is to simply cross
over the bricks where the different elevations meet. This does actually
create quite a nice feature. It comes down to personal taste but
as standard we always use cut and bonded bricks.
